This past weekend was The Eras Tour in Indianapolis and I was THERE! Well, I was downtown documenting the scene outside the show.
On Saturday, November 2, I headed to Downtown Indy with my wife and three of our kids to take them to see the cultural phenomenon that is Taylor Swift and The Eras tour. To be clear, I DID want to see the show myself, but was unable to get a 5th ticket.
So I decided to hang around Lucas Oil Stadium and the JW Marriott to document some of the nearly 200,000 Swifties who descended upon our city.
As usual, I took my documentary approach using available light and no flash. As it got dark I decided to experiment a bit with some motion blur as I walked through the glittery crowds. The photo above is my favorite using this technique. I think it really captures the FEEL of being there: the energy, color, and sparkle.
It honestly was just such a great scene! So many people just sharing love and excitement with each other. I thought it was great how there was an era/style for each personality type and they all appreciated each other.
