Caleb Hearon in Indianapolis – So True Live Tour

Caleb Hearon’s “So True Live Tour” visited Indianapolis last week. Hearon and guests played a sold out show to around 1400 people at the Egyptian Room at Old National Centre. It was a mix of standup, crowd work, drag, and a hilariously explicit conversation with friends.

Meet Caleb Hearon
Hearon is 30 year-old standup comic and actor originally from Kansas City. He gained recognition on social media with dry and irreverent videos—the kind where if you were just scrolling by you couldn’t tell if he’s being serious or not while saying absolutely unhinged things.

But Hearon’s experience runs much deeper than social media alone. He’s performed improv & sketch for over a decade and produced a weekly variety show in Chicago before his internet notoriety. He also acts in television & film roles, most recently co-starring in the movie Sweethearts, on Max.

Success with “So True” Podcast
Caleb Hearon launched his podcast “So True” in February 2024 and it quickly became a top comedy podcast, joining the Headgum podcast network 8 months after launch. “So True” features Hearon chatting with a rotating guest list of comedians, actors, musicians, and drag queens.

Hearon’s podcast & comedy centers around his life as a gay man in the LGBTQ community, everyday experiences in New York & LA, growing up in the Midwest, and being a fan of sports, food, and music.

Caleb Hearon’s One Privilege
“I have one privilege in life, and it’s that I get to be one of the boys and one of the girls,” Hearon said on a recent episode of “So True.” “I get to be at tea, having a little tiny sandwich with no crust on it, talking about colors and things like that. You know how girls are. And then I get to be one of the boys. I get to go to the big game and scratch my nuts and eat chicken wings.”

Taking the “So True” Experience on the Road
For his tour in the spring of 2025, Hearon wanted to bring the vibe of his podcast to live audiences. So he mixes standup and conversations with friends in the style of the podcast. He also features a local drag performer at each show.

“So True Live Tour” will visit 23 cities across North America over 8 weeks.
